Our Team

Our team comprises of Advocates with over 15 years’ experience in legal practice, Associates of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance who have served both in private sectors and internationally in United Kingdom, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Uganda and Kenya handling a wide range of responsibilities involving setting up governance and legal structures, regulatory risk analysis, policy development supervision, legal drafting and capacity building.

Our Advocates have Bachelor’s degrees in Law from Uganda and Kenya and Masters of Laws in International Commercial Law and Child Law, Banking and Finance, Business Law and International Arbitration and Business Administration from the University of Sussex (United Kingdom), Boston University, Massachusetts USA, University of Georgia, USA and Kenya School of Law.

Our team also entails Commissioner for Oaths, Notary Public in Uganda and Kenya and a Certified Public Secretary in Kenya with vast areas of interests including Medical Negligence, Energy and Extractives, Public and Private Partnerships, Project and Infrastructure Finance, Regulatory Compliance, Policy Formulation and Negotiating Commercial Transactions, Insurance, Arbitration, Employment/Labour Law, Real Estate, Civil and Criminal Litigation, Banking and Bankruptcy, Corporate Transactions among other areas.

SUPPORT STAFF

In addition to the legal team, Nagawa Associated Advocates boasts of a qualified, experienced and reliable support staff that renders assistance to the advocates so as to enable them efficiently deliver on time. These include legal assistants, an Office Administrator, Law clerks, an Accountant and office assistants all of whom are dedicated to the client.

REMUNERATION

As regards our charges, the same can be negotiated basing on the relevant scales set out in the Advocates (Remuneration and Taxation of Costs) Amendment) S.I 267-4 or such other amendments thereof as are in force at the material time as the basis.
